A3 Line Drawing – Last of the Lightnings XS903 11 Sqn Pilot Signed

Stunning A3 size line drawing by Stuart Black, entitled “Last of the Lightnings”. The print depicts Lightning F6 XS903 (which at the time was the 11 Sqn Boss Wing Commander Jake Jarrons personal aircraft) surrounded by 8 additional smaller Lightnings, together representing all the marks of Lightning used by the RAF. On the rear is a short write up about the Lightning, plus 2 added sections: one stating that Jake Jarron flew XS903 as lead for 11 sqns last Lightning diamond nine, plus (unique to Planecrazy buyers) another with a short history of the aircraft and stating that Jake piloted ‘903 on its last flight to Elvington museum near York, where she can be seen to this day. The icing on the cake is that Jake Jarron, Stuart Black and his brother Ian (the very last RAF pilot to qualify on Lightnings) have all signed the print.
