Aviation Book – The Last of the Lightnings by Ian Black

Fantastic hardback aviation book by Ian Black “The Last of the Lightnings”, who was the last RAF Lightning pilot to qualify on the type and the son of George Black who commanded one of the first Lightning Squadrons. Ian saw the opportunity to take some amazing air to air photos of the last Lightnings in RAF service, and many are shown in the book, together with his recollections of flying this brilliant aircraft. Contains 190 fact filled pages of text and colour and black and white photos of the amazing Lightning aircraft. Ian has also had the opportunity to fly the Thunder City Lightnings in South Africa, and the book has an additional chapter about these aircraft.
