Dewoitine D.520 – Armee de l’Air (Yellow Tail)

Dewoitine D.520 of Armee de l’Air, France 1940. This was the only French fighter with the performance to match the Messerschmitt Bf-109E, but unfortunately was only a small part of the Armee De L’Air at the time. It went on to serve in Vichy French units after the German occupation, fighting against Allied aircraft. This is one of a fabulous range of 1/72 scale world war 2 fighters being produced by Altaya of Spain. They come complete with stand and optional undercarriage positions in a sealed perspex blister pack, complementing the Corgi Aviation Archive series perfectly.
