PLEASE NOTE: This is a highly intricate model made of a mixture of diecast metal and plastic. It features engraved panel lines, opening canopy, tilting canards, detailed cockpit interior, optional undercarriage and display stand. The box black inner plastic tray is generic, so contains more weapon and drop tank slots than are issued with each model. Therefore no parts are missing, which appears to be the case at first sight.

The Dassault Mirage 2000 is a French multirole, single-engine fourth-generation jet fighter manufactured by Dassault Aviation. It was designed in the late 1970s as a lightweight fighter to replace the Mirage III for the French Air Force (Armee de l’air). The Mirage 2000 evolved into a multirole aircraft with several variants developed, with sales to a number of nations. The Mirage 2000B is a two-seat operational conversion trainer variant which first flew on 11 October 1980. The French Air Force acquired 30 Mirage 2000Bs, and all three fighter wings each obtained several of them for conversion training.

Designed as a lightweight fighter for the French Air Force, the Dassault Mirage 2000 was first flown on March 10th, 1978. The Mirage 2000 is a fourth generation fighter based on the Mirage III. It has a delta wing, one engine, a dual-intake, and can carry a range of air-to-surface weapons, including laser-guided bombs. Variants include a single-seat or dual-seat version. The dual-seat 2000N is nuclear strike capable, armed with nuclear weapons and equipped with navigation avionics that are capable of handling air-to-ground munitions. The Mirage 2000C is a single-seat, all weather interceptor armed with high firing rate 30mm guns.
